Total Power
Total power is calculated by adding the total watts consumed from aerodynamics and rolling resistance, with the goal to have your total power number as low as possible. A well-designed cycling wheel is optimized so you have the benefits of both–aerodynamics and low rolling resistance.
The graphs on the left show how many watts the FLO 77 AS can save you over a standard bike wheel, Mavic Open Pro, and even a wheel that has only been optimized for aerodynamics, the 2016 FLO 90.
Continental GP 5000 tires in sizes 25mm, 28mm, and 32mm were used for optimization and testing. As you can see, 28mm tires on the FLO 77 AS requires the fewest number of watts, making it the fastest tire for this wheel.

Time Saved On The FLO 77 AS
How much time will riding the FLO 77 AS save you? This table estimates your time savings by comparing a FLO 77 AS and a Mavic Open Pro, and calculating watt savings over specified race distances. Times savings are based on two wheels.
Saving You Watts
Go further, faster with the FLO 77 AS. This wheel was designed to save you watts by taking both aerodynamics and rolling resistance into consideration. Thanks to a drag-reducing aerodynamic profile that is optimized around a wide internal rim width, and designed to lower rolling resistance, the FLO 77 AS ensures the watts you put into the pedals are not wasted spinning your wheels, but are used to move you forward. Explore the tabs to the right to learn more about how to shave off time and watts by choosing the FLO 77 AS.
Aerodynamically Optimized
The goal of making a cycling wheel aerodynamic is to reduce the drag. Drag on a cycling wheel makes it more difficult to move the bike forward through the air, and consumes the watts you put into the pedals.
The FLO 77 AS was designed to reduce the watts consumed by drag so the watts you put into the pedal move you forward. Be aero and be faster.
Learn more about Aerodynamics & Watts and our Wind Tunnel Testing.
Rolling Resistance Optimized
The goal of lowering the rolling resistance for a cycling wheel is to make the wheel easier to roll. Rolling resistance occurs at the contact patch where your tire makes contact with the road surface. The higher the rolling resistance, the harder to move the bike forward, and the more watts wasted.
The FLO 77 AS was designed with a wide internal rim width to shorten your contact patch, reduce the rolling resistance, and use the watts put into the pedals to move you forward. Be wider, be faster.

Total Power
Total power is calculated by adding the total watts consumed from aerodynamics and rolling resistance, with the goal to have your total power number as low as possible. A well-designed cycling wheel is optimized so you have the benefits of both–aerodynamics and low rolling resistance.
The graphs below how many watts the FLO 77 AS can save you over a standard bike wheel, Mavic Open Pro, and even a wheel that has only been optimized for aerodynamics, the 2016 FLO 90.
Continental GP 5000 tires in sizes 25mm, 28mm, and 32mm were used for optimization and testing. As you can see, 28mm tires on the FLO 77 AS requires the fewest number of watts, making it the fastest tire for this wheel.

Time Saved For FLO 77 AS
How much time will riding the FLO 77 AS save you?

TIRE PRESSURE CHARTS
Optimize your tire pressure for your weight, riding surface, tire casing width, and internal rim width by using the tire pressure recommendation tables below. The pressures listed are starting recommendations. We suggest experimenting with your tire pressure to find what is the fastest for you and the roads you ride. Remember, being slightly lower is better than being slightly higher.
Follow these steps to use the tables:
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Weigh yourself and your bike together.
- Find your wheel model and find the appropriate table.
- Determine your riding surface. This will be a pavement or gravel variant.
- Measure the width of your inflated tire on your rim.
- Find your tire width under your road surface type.
- Match your riding surface and tire width to your bike and rider weight.
- Use this pressure (psi) and enjoy your ride!
